Pounamu Weta Sculpture – wip #11
I wanted to add a lighter colour and also balance out the left side branch so I decided to add a small bracket/shelf fungus. I often see these when I’m in the bush and have quite a few of different sizes I’ve brought back.
The stone I’ve used for the fungus is a beautiful flower jade (translucent green with yellow/brown inclusions) which will introduce lighter colours as well as link back to the little gold feelers(?) by the Wetas mandibles.
