Pounamu Weta Sculpture – wip #8

Does anyone know what this part of the weta is called?
I’ve started making the crazy looking yellow part under his mandibles. I’ll make them out of some beautiful translucent NZ Carnelian.
I love detailing sculpt like this. Should look awesome (hopefully).
A good challenge.
