Streaky Pounamu Toki

$420

Design: This pendant is based on a toki (which is a adze or axe shape).  Larger toki would have been for woodworking jobs like canoes or houses while smaller ones would have been used for finer work like carving.  They have been recorded from ancient Egyptian times up to the present day (now mostly made out of metal).  The design is normally associated with strength or someone who is a maker.

Stone: The stone is a dark streaky Pounamu.  The front is a mottled green/black and the back is mostly black.

Size – 72mm high X 28mm wide
