Fantail Sculpture #1

Work in progress – Fantail Sculpture

I’ve just started a new sculpture of a Fantail (New Zealand native bird).
Initially I’m sculpting a rough sketch of the bird and base so I can sort out the proportions and pose. Once I’m happy I’ll start the actual sculpture in jade.
